  1. Amy Lopez Says:

Why is the wealthiest country in the world, the USA, dealing with a hunger crisis? Hunger is intolerable and the United States must act boldly to end hunger in America.

In Minnesota (closer to home), one and 10 Minnesotan’s goes to bed hungry. Your neighbor down the street could be hungry.

How would your neighbor being hungry affect you and your family’s quality of life?

  2. The Faces of hunger in America is seeking to spread awareness of this plight. To that end we’ve already closed entry to filmmakers 25 and under and are now in the voting stages until Dec 4. The top 3 Films win cash prizes and we got a myriad of different perspectives from all over the country. None from the twin cities, but hopefully next year! Our aim in running this contest is to challenge people to stop thinking about hunger as only affecting the homeless and to stop blaming those who suffer and start to think about the root causes. I commend this forum for doing the same.. Please come check out the filmmakers work and vote. You can vote once per day and you don’t need to create an account. Thanks!
